Instructional design and technology in the world at large is a complex context. The instructional designer working in an international setting is faced with many difficult tasks related to cultural and social issues. The challenge of diversity as it relates to designing instruction to the world is counter-parted by the robustness of the instructional design discipline and principles.
What its Like... This section summarizes the chapter and indicates clearly the challenges facing the instructional designer in international settings. It provides a short description of the authors experience and insights in describing the same "tale in two separate and radically different settings."
